Only handmade rugs
Jaunty offers only handmade rugs primarily in tufted, wool quality. Made by skilled artisans, hand tufted rugs are true works of art. Tufting by hand to brings out the colors in the pattern. Every single wool yarn in a Jaunty rug is hand tufted. A typical 8’x11’ tufted rug takes several weeks of weaving to produce. They use wool, for most of their rugs, the ‘go to’ fiber for top quality rugs. Wool is also naturally flame retardant. Also it has a natural stain and crush resistance. In addition, wool makes for a rug that is comfortable to the touch with a soft sheen and wears well. Jaunty rugs also use viscose (often used as accents to add a shimmering effect), hemp and polyester.
